Harvest One Newsletter September 2019 Recap

Hello Harvest One Investors,

As Cannabis 2.0 draws near, Harvest One continues on its path as a cannabis company focused on the health, wellness, and self-care space. We’ve had several announcements over the last month that reinforce our focus and position the company for future success, both in the short and long term.

As announced in our previous newsletter, Andy Bayfield was hired as our Chief Commercial Officer and will be managing our sales, marketing, and distribution channels globally. His extensive background with international CPG companies, such as Cadbury, Coca-Cola, and Canada Dry Mott’s, enhances Harvest One’s evolution as we believe the cannabis industry is moving towards a more traditional CPG focused sector. His hire is the latest example of our dedication to building the best-in-class, strategic leadership team.

United Greeneries, Dream Water, and Burb had exciting developments over the past month. Last Friday, United Greeneries received their cultivation licence for Phase 1 of the Mission Road expansion in Duncan, BC. This was an important step in an expansion that will triple the capacity of the Duncan operations. In early October, United Greeneries obtained an amendment to its licence from Health Canada, which allows for the sale of cannabis oil products. This represents a timely and important announcement just before the launch of Cannabis 2.0 in Canada, on October 17th. Dream Water strengthened its brand when it signed NHL superstar and long-time consumer Auston Matthews to a global partnership. Lastly, our Burb team realized their latest milestone when they received two retail cannabis licences for their stores located in Port Coquitlam, BC. On September 28th, Burb celebrated its cannabis grand opening at their flagship store location at 1502 Broadway Street, and this past Saturday, October 12th, they celebrated another grand opening for their second location at 2755 Lougheed Hwy. Congratulations to all three of these teams for their hard work and dedication. We are excited to see what’s next for all divisions in the Harvest One family.

In late September, there was positive news from the United States when the US House of Representatives passed the SAFE Banking Act. This act will validate and protect the industry by allowing financial institutions to work with cannabis companies. The act still needs to pass the Senate, but it may be an indication that the US is inching closer to federal legalization. On the home front in Canada, we are rapidly approaching the October 17th launch of Cannabis 2.0. Although this is an important milestone for the industry, we don’t expect derivative products on shelves until mid-December at the earliest as there is a 60-day application process with Health Canada for all new products. The aforementioned milestones are integral to the maturation of our industry. Additionally, investors in Harvest One can expect the release of our end of the fiscal year financials this month.

With key catalysts on the immediate horizon, we are excited about this new era of cannabis in Canada and globally. Thank you for your continued support on our journey.

On September 28, 2019, our retail partner Burb hosted their “Cannabis Grand Opening” at 1502 Broadway Street in Port Coquitlam, BC, and two weeks later on October 12th, they held their second grand opening at 2755 Lougheed Hwy. Burb received two retail cannabis licences the week of September 19, 2019. Prior to receiving their licences, their flagship location was open and operated as a premium apparel and cannabis culture store since April 20th of this year. We expect that these two licences are the first of many, as Burb intends to expand throughout BC, Canada, and into the United States.
